Carcans Plage is a simple little village 1 hour from Bordeaux where lovers of the ocean and the forest come to relax.
In high season you will find several restaurants, creperies, ice-cream parlours, bars, clothes and souvenir shops, surf schools (also renting equipment), bike rentals, a campsite, a newspaper shop and mini-markets.
In summer, a market is held every Monday morning, where you can buy fresh fruit and vegetables, local produce, crafts and souvenirs.
